Dear Ross,

Thanks for your prompt reply, I have prayed and fasted severally
for a reliable associate who will kindly assist us in a honest
manner to secure these funds and my instincts that has never
betrayed me in life acknowledged you as the right person. We put
all our hope in God.

I have been give authority to commence this transaction with you
today. We intend to transfer a large fund, and take the capital
Appreciation derivative to provide a new investment fund, under
your management, for future investments, thus negating any
requirements for taxation or declaration of process for income
generation.

The funds being transferred arise from independent investments of
the Yukos group, outside the Russian soil, so we can legitimately
do so, only if this is done quietly because we have been subject
to relentless government scrutiny for a very long time.I now seek
your permission to have you stand as an associate to enable us
re-profile this fund, as all documentations are in place.

(I) I want you to understand very well why we decided to secure
these funds is because as you see, our assets are frozen in
Switzerland, and while we have excess of USD5b lying there, we are
unable to liquidate them, or use them as guarantee for payment of
the USD3.5b back taxes inflicted on us by the government in
Russia. It is obvious that the situation will not improve since it
has not till now; the government is selling our core subsidiaries
to their cronies.

(2)We will always do anything that will generate benefits to
humanity that is why we decided to secure these funds and give
some part of the percentage to charity organizations, Disaster
victims and invest the rest in a lucrative business.

All my life I have never lied to my friends, associates and foes
alike my word has always been my bond and my word differentiates
me from an animal.

Immediately my word stops having meaning to my friends and foes
alike the person’s sojourn in this world will be meaningless.
I have kept an enviable life hence my rise to this present status.
What I must assure you is my word, which is my bond. I assure you
100% success of this transaction once your response is prompt as
this transaction will not take us more than 11 working days to
conclude if you only abide by my instructions and I will then fly
to your country where the actual investment and sharing of these
funds will take place and meet you. Do send me your Tel/Fax to
enable me discuss with you.

I await your reply.

Sincerely,
Micheal Dubov

Micheal –

Your last email was very complicated! In all my years of owning
and operating a successful medium-sized company, I’ve never even
TRIED to grasp such a complicated story! Then again, I’ve never
really had to – money was always coming into my bank account (as it
continues to do), and I never really had to think too hard about
it! My money just sort of fell into my pocket, you might say. So
I’m not that bright, but I’m still totally rich!

Anyway, this is all to say that, as a shrewd-but-somewhat-stupid
businessman, I have a knack for picking up on good opportunities.
This, my friend, smells like one. It’s so great that you are
presenting me with this opportunity to make so much money so
quickly! I have a lot already, but I could always use more! You
know how it is. Mo’ problems and such.

Anyway, I am very interested, but I’m kind of scared! Foreign
governments? Swiss bank accounts? Geez – it’s enough to make a
rich-but-simple American like me dizzy! Plus it sounds kind of
dangerous, and I’m something of a coward! Please reassure me
quickly and we can do business. I’m sure I can trust you – you DID
say you’ve never lied before, right?

Please write back really soon,
Ross

Micheal –

While I am still somewhat nervous about this transaction and almost certainly need a great deal more reassurance, I’d like to first take this opportunity to explain something that has just arisen that I find quite interesting. In your last letter you said “my word… is my bond.” Here in America, that phrase is deeply entrenched in hip hop culture! When rappers want to say that you’re speaking the truth, they say “word is bond.” I never really thought about it, but that clearly stems from the phrase you just used, “my word is my bond.” Fascinating stuff!

Back to the point at hand though, Micheal. I am still very nervous about giving out my personal information to people who I”ve never met before who have ties to strange foreign governments in countries that I’ve never heard of before. Explain more by email, and if possible, dress it up in a fancy font or flashy color.

I look forward to hearing back from you more than you even know.

-Ross

Ross,

Thanks for the letter.

With reference to your letter, I see you as a matured man with great status and can differentiate between business and pleasure. I believe you do not want to use undue advantage of the trust I have bestowed in you. Am a busy person and I have a depreciating health condition lately so I would want you to be serious with this transaction and confirm your status so we could commence this transaction as we are suppose to have finalized this transaction before now.

After due application for the release of the fund I have just been informed that the fund has been released for transfer, so I would need the information required to enable the reprofiling of the fund commence, You are provided with an input as an entity with no history to the investment, only as a management consultant, the transaction is legitimate and everybody is safe.

I will be leaving Moscow for London United Kingdom tomorrow on a business trip, upon my arrival I hope to send the number you can reach me with.

Waiting to hear from you.

Thanks and God Bless
Micheal.
